2012!

A million things have happened since January 1, 2012. I was supposed to make a year-end post about my year but then I found myself in a sticky mess since I had so much to write about! I thought of making a simple post about art, zombies and music but then I thought of the wonderful poems we had in English class this year not to mention the movies I've seen that are worth discussing. And I did some more thinking and after falling asleep, I decided to stick to the original plan and keep it simple HAHA.

I grew to really really love food this year. It started off with my mum bribing me to join her in the dark side where she really has cookies. She wanted me to get as hooked as she was with baking and so with 200 pesos on the line per batch, I dragged my lazy ass to the kitchen and promptly fell in love with Martha Stewart-ing. I first tried out baking with a batch of chocolate chip cookies right after I went for a jog in the morning. It felt really good and very grown-up-y. Since then, I've delved deeper into the baking/cooking world and have tried out a multitude of recipes ranging from simple chocolate chip cookies to Snickerdoodles, to cheesecakes and I have now settled with the art of making red velvet cupcakes hihi.

Our last dog was named Hansel and since he bit our maid back then, he was offered up to the people who lived under the massive tank back in our old village and that was the last we heard of him. This year however, we were blessed with not 1 but 2 members of the canine family!! Perry came to us back in January all shy and scared and now he's grown to be a big boy who has a knack of humping me whenever I'd come home from school. Katy joined us lately and our little hotdog dog is now so darn fierce she makes Perry look so wimpy hihi. The both of them just made us more keen and more sympathetic when it comes to animals hehe.
I fell in love with Pentatonix after John Nhoel gave me a link to their cover of We Are Young by Fun. Since then, I've obsessed over them and their video replay buttons have been raped already by moi. They've started me on my A Capella spree and Pitch Perfect only added fuel to the fire with their wonderfully done arrangements. Now, there is only one word for Pitch Perfect and that  is perfect! I know I've abused this word already in this post but I AM IN LOVE with this movie. Seriously!! This vacation alone, I've watched it about 8 times already since only yesterday I've watched it thrice. I can't get enough of it and I really wanna memorize all of the choreography HAHA. It's just so....clean and so....perfect. I hope they make a sequel as good as this!

This has also been a year of ZOMBIES!!! I went to all of the Outbreaks huhu and they were all so amazing. They served their purpose in keeping my zombie-loving spirit alive throughout the year. From the first one in Nuvali, to BGC and finally to Enchanted Kingdom. I hope Outbreak Manila has lots in store for 2013!!
ART UGH 2012 GAVE ME SO MANY CREATIVE JUICES!!! From the technical paintings that I had to do in school back in Sophomore year, to the abundance of eyes and unfinished faces and even to the surprisingly bloody and zombie-filled works that I had to for Junior year!!

What can I say? 2012 has blessed me with such amazing people. People that I never want to part with ever huhuhu. Thanks for all the memories (even tho they werent so great hahahaha chos joke lang). EVERY MOMENT I HAD WITH YOU GUYS WAS AMAZING HUHU LOVE YOU GUYS!!!!!

This has been such a wonderful year that I'm afraid 2013 might not be able to top it. But alas, we shan't live in fear of the future! 2012 brought a ton of smiles to my face, heaps and heaps of good memories paired with laughter and it also brought me new friends that I wouldn't trade in for the world hehe what is cheesy.

Gab's Birthday Giveaway: The Verdict

My first ever giveaway was launched on my birthday, last December 16. I really took the time scouting for really neat things that even I had the urge to just keep them all here in my house and just forget the notion of having a giveaway. But alas, I battled it out with my greed (imagine me now on the edge of a cliff while the wind is gorgeously running through my hair with my ever trusty strings quartet behind doing their thang) and won hence, Gab's Birthday Giveaway or #gbg was conceived!

I didn't go with the usual giveaway flow of asking people to follow me and such since I really wanted to get to know my readers more and to...interact I guess hehe. So I just dropped the question and let your creative minds do the rest hihi.

With only 45 letters to work with, here are some of the answers that really caught my eye besides the pantyhose answer and the mind-boggling Jessa Zaragoza one HAHA.

Diana's answer really killed me. Seriously, it slayed something inside me. Bludgeoned that something, even. Reduced it to pulp, perhaps. Her answer just caught me so much by surprise and it was so right that it almost brought me to tears................hehe that was too dramatic but for realsies, I absolutely loved her answer.

I really don't know how but I liked it HAHAHA.

"I'd use a condom to survive a zombie apocalypse

cause condoms are so elastic and durable and they don't tear easily
so i'd wear a condom all over my body
to protect me from zombies"

-Nona's wise words

NONA'S ANSWER. I don't need to explain why her poetic reasoning really had me thinking.

AND THE WINNER IS...

Congratulations to you and to everyone who joined, even to those who didn't but surely know how to survive a zombie apocalypse and to everyone since we lived through 2012!! Thanks everyone for just making this a success and for all the support you've given to this blog huhuhiheiheoheoehoeho (hihi getting sentimental hihihihihihi).

Nothing beats Plants VS. Zombies

Here's to life and to more giveaways in the future!!!! ;)

HAPPY HOLLA-DAYS!

We spent our Christmas Eve with our relatives in Cavite last night and it was for a lack of a better word, fun. The night was filled with our laughter and bouts of craziness from everyone. Now I definitely know where we got our eccentric traits! We stuffed ourselves silly early and just basked in the Holiday spirit after.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~fashion blahgah~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It feels super duper good to be with a lot of people this Holiday season especially when the people are so funny and wacky and so candid heehee. I swear, the energy levels in their house last night would rival those of the wind turbines in Ilocos or that of a crowd in a Wowowee show.
Here's a little something something from Feliz to uplift your spirits or to bombard your household with merry merry and jolly jolly Christmas tunes!
Ganesha Watch
I really love India. I wanna go to India someday. It feels like sometimes I've been born in the wrong country since I really feel like I'm Indian in some way. That is why while we were at the mall and browsing and sorting through clothes at Artwork, when I saw a watch with what I knew as the Indian elephant, I fell in love wee woo. Turns out, it's an Indian deity called Ganesha. I just made this post because I love my watch and now I wanna start collecting watches and stuff with Indian designs and such heeeeeeee.
Mi watch which I got for only P995 woopieeee
The Effect of Dust Bunnies
Cleaning your room is just like being in a relationship. You go do it on a whim or because some greater force is urging you to do so. You start off by turning yourself around and unearthing a bunch of stuff you've never known existed or stuff that you've forgotten about yourself.
You start to enjoy it since you discover new things and all that jazz.
You organize and organize and slave around and wipe down and rub and battle out dust bunnies.
You precariously arrange stuff and feel good once you're done but then you realize that's just one part of one huge room.
You still work your butt off trying to make it work since you can't back down now, what with the mess you've already created.
So you push forward even though in the midst of the mess, you start to doubt if you'll ever come out of this alive. You sniffle and sniffle and your nose starts to run and you just feel like if you could detach your head, you would.
So you're cleaning and cleaning and cleaning and cleaning and you're irritated since it's so hot and you're sweating and you're just realizing that you have so much junk and you make a vow to yourself never to let them accumulate like this ever again.
You're moody and all and you want to give up and just let other people fix it but you don't because this is yours. You started it so you have to end it yourself. Plus, the bed looks so warm and so inviting so you really have to get your stuff together and do your job.
Ho Ho Ho Under the Mistletoe
Yesterday, December 20, a day before the supposed end of the world, we had our Christmas party in school.
Churro gurlz with our matching shirts wee woo wee woo w r so gay
After going around the school to give out gifts to our teachers, we went back to our homeroom which was on the fourth floor huhu. Then Erik had his awwwwww moment while we all watched and snooped and lurked like the gossip mongers that we are.
Matthew then gave me the cutest and most adorable raccoon cake in the world which was done by Nona's mum hihi. It really shocked me hehe but it was very cool hehe.
Russ the blind man
Jazz being Jazz
We then had games and had fun and Callado was his..........................self. The prizes were so nice so we really got into the games hehe.
It's not that apparent here but I got scratches because of the games hehe
Twinkle and Russ then exchanged gifts which was such a cute and touching ordeal that was punctuated with our squeals of delight and giddiness hihi. Russ got Twinkle a very cool-looking ukulele while Twinkle gave Russ a huge ass box filled with super cool stuff huhu. I'll forever be a fan of Rinkle.
ihihihihihi
After eating and stuff, we had our exchange gift which was very idk intimate? Hehe we were in a circle and we had to describe the person that we picked. And after that, we gave our adviser Ma'am Sao her Christmas gift!!
CALVIN WEEEEE
After we had our pictures taken, we tidied up a bit and a lot of people left already. Since there were so many left over prizes from the games we never got the chance to play, Dana allowed us to take home whichever we liked hihi so I got this disguise thingy!!
After the party, Jazz helped me lug around my stuff to the Supreme Court across the street. I changed my shoes since they got destroyed huhu and we frantically met up with other people since they were going to go to Star City hehe sorry. I went back to Masci to meet up with the Watergirls so we could hang out. And lemme tell you this, I will never ever wear a hoodie while the sun is still up huhu I could seriously feel the drops of sweat on my back cascading huhuhu. It's either I won't wear a hoodie without airconditioning or I'll never forget to bring an extra shirt hehe.
Chloe, Diana me hehe
We stayed in Masci for a while since I thought we were waiting for Bianca but as it turned out, I was the one they were waiting for HAHAHAHA what is dumb. We went to Robinson's and were supposed to watch Silent Hill but I got dumb and my brain shut down when the girl behind the counter asked our age ughhhhh really sorry about that gays. So we just had our nails done instead and became uber girly hihihi.
