Gab's Birthday Giveaway!

I first thought of having a giveaway on the day our report cards were released way back in the first quarter. I wanted to base the giveaway on my rank or whatever but then there were complications and so the ranking was not given huhu. Last quarter's cards out however brought good news and extreme joy hehe. So I'm having this giveaway 1) because I'm really happy with my academics 2) it's my birthday and I love birthdays and you guys ought to be happy too 3) it's Christmas and people should get gifts hehehe!!!!

This 25th year edition of Trivial Pursuit is such a steal. Just like Superman joke HAHA. I used to have a weird obsession with board games when I was younger. I was exposed to Monopoly and such and I knew they're a bit pricey so when I discovered the cheap, often Disney themed board games that were sale for only P70 pesos so I'd buy myself a box whenever we'd visit my haven, National Bookstore. 

Mummy Model/Puzzle

This Universal Studios model of a mummy shows my love for monsters and puzzles hehehe. I don't know when it started but I am in love with monsters and mythical creatures that's why this is so perfect hihi it stands 8 inches tall and is well a mummy!!

Canson Watercolor Pad, 200gsm 

200gsm woopie!! It means the paper is thick. I love thick papers hehe they're my best friends whenever I'd paint. Oh and yadda yadda yadda this is included here since I love art.

Lisa Frank Sticker Album + Stickers

 I was deprived of Lisa Frank stuff when I was a kid since the li'il bastards were pricey huhuhu!! That's why now that I know how to save money and all that jazz, I invest on me Lisa Frank goodies hihi. So if you too were deprived, this is for you!!!!!!

This would go well with the Canson Watercolor Pad hihi! I used to stay away from Prang but then I tried it out and our irreconcilable differences proved to be reconcilable and that's why I like Prang now hehehe.

Trains For May, Shaun

Hi. Today is the 4th day of my ~isolation huzzzzzah. I have done nothing but sing High School Musical songs, watch the very very educational Ancients Behaving Badly series on youtube, eat like some huge mammal (I was gonna say Mammoth but I'm not really sure if the silent beasts have huge appetites or not heh) and try not to pick my scabs. I read a comic book today, finished 4 episodes of American Horror Story yesterday making me excited for the second season, started on my projects and earlier, I challenged myself a series of speed..drawing/painting. I gave myself 30 minutes per set and after that, I wouldn't touch up or fix anything anymore. 

By the way, I am seriously loving my Prang watercolor set now. I've decided to let my Winsor and Newton pocket set rest for a while since I'm running very low on the red and I made the mistake of using the mixing pallet for acrylic and now it's all crusty in a bad way and I haven't felt like cleaning it yet hehe. So I've been using Prang for a while and...I'm loving it hehe. Now that I look at it, they've got a lot in common and their differences seem to be trivial. It's just that my Prang set is bigger and has fewer colors and attracts ants. Other than that, they're quite alike.

Staying at home, surrounded by the peace that comes with a near empty house, has done something to my artistic soul. The serenity that I am feeling has touched my heart, entered my brain and is now running freely through my veins. I am slowly but surely turning into..................................................a fossil.

Articulate

Here are 2 somewhat similar practice paintings that I've done with different paint sets hehe. The first one I used Prang and the second Winsor and Newton. I'm not gonna lie, I'm a teeny tiny bit biased when I say that I like Winsor and Newton better hahaha. I've just grown to love the brand and the free paint brush it comes with is so divine, it's what I use for almost every painting. Prang's brush on the other hand is so frustrating because of its constant hair fall huhu. So, because I was the one who bought my Prang set, I'd feel really guilty if I just let it go to waste. I promise to use it more in the future hehe.

Speaking of art, I so badly wanna join the 1st Pagcor National Art Competition! I haven't joined any art contest in my whole life save for this logo contest back when I was around 7 or 8 years old which sucked. I was such a mess that I ended up drawing a simple crucifix in the middle of a blank paper. Let's just say that the judges weren't really into minimalism. But anyhoo, if youre reading this and you wanna join the contest -ehem, P50k prize for non-professionals- I'll post the info below. So if youre planning on joining, holla at me! Maybe we can join togethahhh and be best friends and maybe split the 50 grand hahahahaha just kidding.
