Candied Fossil

Last night, after watching a couple of movies and trying to paint my nails, I got so bored that I decided to flip through my sketchpads. I saw this particular drawing of a skull that I wasted my g-tec on and decided that it was too...lifeless. Setting up my materials would've been too time consuming so I just went ahead and painted it with nail polish.

I've always thought of doing that ever since I was a kid. It felt so liberating haha. Plus I really like how the texture turned out; I find it really pretty.

The reason why this piece has like a special place inside me is cos I think the colors symbolize the uniqueness within us. They're like our vibrant thoughts, talents and aspirations... Meh, that's as far as I can get with all the expressive art mumbo jumbo.

I got to paint my nails! This is like the best nail shot that I can ever do in my life. Being double jointed is quite hard.

Pretty yummy colors omnomnom

This picture to me made the nail polish bottles look almost human...which is sort of scary. It's like theyre ganging up on you and all...

It feels good to finally create something again. My productivity this summer vacation is such a stark contrast to last year's where I spent like every waking moment trying to tap into my creative side.

Grossest Kids in Town

Last Wednesday, I met up with a few of my research group mates to work on our proposals. Since most of them are from Manila, we decided to just work near MaSci. We stayed for a while at KFC and then we bombarded Robinsons with our laptop and very scientific conversations. Basically, we only got 50% done and the rest of the day was spent looking for inspiration and just ambling around the mall.

After visiting book shops and having my pictures developed, we stopped by Toys R Us! I seriously will never get tired of visiting toy stores. When I was a kid, visiting them was like sweet torture. I'd go in and get dazzled by every little thing but wouldn't be allowed to buy the mega amazing toys, instead I'd get away with 1 Baby Bratz or in some cases, totally empty handed.

So long story short, I was totally stoked when I saw this entire wall  full of weird trash cans! Turns out they're called The Trash Pack. You can buy them individually, in 2's, in 5's, and in 12's. There are special storage packs; one's even shaped like a giant garbage can! I bought myself one of the individually packed trashies for only 65 php!! I told my friends that if I were unlucky enough to get the real nasty looking ones, I'd stop buying hehe. But then I got Trash Rat and just fell in love heehee. My sister bought me 2 Trashies last night and I got Awful Pie and Smelly Mouse.

I stayed up late last night watching a bunch of youtube videos about them. And because of that, I discovered this youtube channel called 'raeganzilla'. Theyre a father and son duo that rates toys heehee. They are like the cutest and most adorable team I have ever seen and I can't help but seeing Phil and Luke in them from Modern Family. You guys should check their channel out if ever you'll need advice on toys or just a dose of sweetness!

Here's a video of them reviewing Big League Chew Bubblegum!

Magic Mike

I just found out about Channing Tatum's upcoming movie called Magic Mike. It's supposedly about a guy stripper named Mike which is to be played by Channing. He then takes Alex Pettyfer as his apprentice of some sort. Alex introduces him to his sister who has no idea about their profession. Channing then slowly falls in gooey love with the sister and they have to overcome the challengers that comes with being in a relationship with someone who has 'relationships' with everybody else hehe.

Personally, I have no plans of becoming a stripper. I don't think I have it in me to be one actually. I just find this movie cool since Channing once was a stripper in real life before becoming an actor. So its sort of like he's going back to his roots so to say. Judging by the comments that I've seen on youtube about the trailer, it seems that many people find this movie to be very shallow and disgusting. Well, I really don't have anything to say about it that much since even I find it shallow. But the thing is, I believe that every once in a while, I really really really need a break from all the thought provoking movies and books. It gets tiring to have your beliefs shaken.

In conclusion, I want to see this movie. I really do hehe. Partly because of Channing, partly because of Alex Pettyfer, partly because I think it's gonna be funny and partly because well I'm a very pubertial teenager.

Outbreak Manila: Nuvali

I seriously felt like a grown up while I was at the mall having these pictures developed. These were taken last April 14 during Outbreak Manila. The following will only be a bunch of pictures featuring zombies hehe.

Cotton Candy

The sky was so lovely today, I couldn't help but take pictures! It also reminded me so much of Katy Perry's Teenage Dream album cover. Made my realize how much I've been missing, being cooped up inside our house and facing the computahh haha.

On Trees

I've always been a huge fan of zombies or anything related to them. So imagine my surprise when I first heard about Outbreak Manila! Outbreak Manila is patterned to the United States's Run For Your Lives. Basically, it's a 5 kilometer race with a few obstacles.....plus a buttload of ravenous zombies. You're given a belt with 3 flags symbolizing your lives which the infected would go gaga for.

Even the scorching sun, dirtied knees, and the depressing revelation that I will certainly not be a survivor in case of a zombie apocalypse did not ruin the event. Rather, they were what made it beyond fun!

I dint bring the camera with me along the run in fear of it being dropped, and I was really hoping that it'd rain a bit so the course would be muddy. I did bring my film camera with me but I still gotsta have them developed hehe so.....here are pictures of......trees.

Mum's 45th!

Last Friday the 13th was my mum's 45th birthday celebration! It was a whole day event hehe. But the day before that, we surprised her with her gift yay. Anyway, we ate our early lunch at Army Navy so we could be near Robinsons. It was supposed to be a girl's day of pampering and feeling like princesses!

Dad went to work. We got dropped off at the National Bookstore entrance but we dint get the chance to browse the humongous stacks of bargain books. After going to the comfort room, we went to Primadonna. Lo and behold, the creepers that I wasnt sure of buying last December were still there! Mum bought a pair for me and a neon belt for my sister. My sister and my mum seriously have a weird belt fetish. But anyway  happy happy joy joy!!

We left Robinsons at around 445 and made our way to Yakimix for our dinner with some relatives of ours. An amazing thing happened tho, I wore my new shoes all around the mall, and when I stepped out of the car, my left foot landed directly on a pile of dog poop. Yesssssssssss, I know I died. The guards were all laughing and I couldn't stop myself from stomping around in a tantrum and rubbing my soiled shoe around the parking lot.
