Posts about Kony 2012 have practically taken over my news feed and twitter dashboard lately and it's only tonight that I decided to watch the video cos I really don't want to work on my plates haha. I know it's quite lengthy and most people wouldn't bother to watch it since it IS quite a stressful week for everyone with graduation/the end of the school year fast approaching, but everyone should take a break from the work and be aware of what's going on.

Perry The Dog
Our family has a dog. We got him last January 23, 2012 from my cousin cos their house was teeming with the canine luvin. Anyway, our dog's name is Perry. Perry is a boy. He likes to whimper like a girl, meow like a cat and bite everything that he sees.
I just wanted to write about Perry because it's been 2 weeks since I last played with him. You see, he bit me last last week, and so I have been restricted from cuddling my meowing dog.

The Floating Bookstore
FRIDAY! Fun fun fun fun day. When my parents picked me up from school, they decided to go straight to the Floating Bookstore.
Through the cash registers, the International Cafe can be found as well as the Life X-Perience maze thingy. We didn't stay at the cafe anymore since the line was long and I wasn't really that much hungry. The Life X-Perience thing was sort of an interactive maze, the pictures on the wall could talk hehe or you could just ask the volunteers to give you a tour.
They operate in units there. Meaning, they have their own conversions like 100 units = 100 pesos. The books are surprisingly cheap! They have an impressive collection of the classics, but not so much of the current books. They have lots of children's books and spiritual ones too.
If you like to read or heart starts beating faster when you're inside a bookstore just like me, you should definitely check out the floating bookstore while it lasts. They're here til the 13th I think, at the South Harbor near the Manila Ocean Park!

My outfit for the day! Hahaha I feel like a Japanese school girl
On the life boat, where you get to watch an introductory vid about the ship!
While waiting in line. The girl at the cash register was so nice!! Ughh she's like a super hip grandmum hehe love her!
Post It Wall hehe
I really want to be a volunteer someday. Janet, the adorable speaker on the lifeboat from Hong Kong told us that a person has to be at least 18 to join the crew. Oh well, 2 more years!!! The inside of the ship is plain homey. The lighting is so warm and light that it felt like I was in another country or perhaps in a movie heehee.

Only for 200 units!
150 units each! I read the first 2 stories of the one on the right last night, they're far out but still cute!

REYTHER FOR-EYVER
Last Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, we had our Intramurals at school! We don't have them annually, the last one was when the Seniors in our school were still in their Freshmen year. These past 2 weeks have been fun fun fun since a whole week of studying and quizzes hasn't been completed yet what with all the events and stuff hehe.
Wednesday was a blur of singing and cheering. The volleyball and badminton games were held on that day. Our team, Reyther, lost by 2 points to the faculty. Hayyyy faculty. After we lost, Chloe, Lanselle and I looked for a piano in school so we can sing and be merry. We found one right in front of the SSG office/headquarters. Our friend Kobe who is part of the Student Council joined us and we had an Adele-fest!! And later that day, while we were inside the fully air-conditioned room, Chloe and I decided to make impromptu musical scenes. Everyone had such a blast! Or at least we did hahahaha. Chloe would 'enter' the scene, greet then ask me a question then Lanselle would go and play an impromptu background music for us and we'd just build our story on the spot! Wednesday was such a musical day.
Thursday was spent the same way. It was very relaxing since our team's game was the last for the day. Again, we lost by 2 points. It was also fun since a lot of the new and old members of the MSHS Chorale attended the practice for the mass the following day.
Lastly, Friday! No more sing-a-thons for me since I sort of lost my voice with all the shouting, cheering and singing. I was part of the cheerleading team hahaha can you believe it? Well, we lost. Again. But seriously, it didn't matter much anymore since I think we're all winners because we all had soooooo much fun *insert cheesy inspirational song here* After the awarding ceremony, the choir decided to play volleyball. Hehehe I suck at volleyball.

Oddventures
I've been doing an awful lot of thinking lately. I think I'm experiencing the whole teenage pubertial phase wherein I feel all weird and sad and happy and just plain mixed up. But don't worry, I'm not about to go moody on this blog heehee.
Pubertial woes aside, this week has been pretty darn fun! We've had our Final Achievement Tests these past few days. Monday was spent reviewing for the tests that will be held for the next 3 days. The 3 days of pure pleisure (pleasure + leisure; look at me trying to invent another word hoho) because we would only be required to stay for the tests ergo, only 3 hours of school!
Tuesday was the day when the oddventures began! We went on a spontaneous trip to the zoo yayayay. It turns out my classmate Daryl's dad was the head vet of Manila Zoo. Double yay!
Wednesday was my shot day. Last Sunday, our dog Perry bit me :( We had to go back on the third day for my second shot. I seriously wanted to go to Chloe's mum's school's film festival but I wasn't allowed to go because I wouldn't make it on time for my shot. I ended up staying at my dad's office for about 3 hours wee and watched Super 8 and half of The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
Today, Thursday has by far been the best day evaaaaarrr!! We were dismissed at 11 which is pretty early, so Chloe and I decided to watch The Woman in Black at the nearby mall. (It was supposed to be a Cheesecake thing, but Nath had to play basketball hohohuhuhoho) Anyway. Yes, adventures in our uniform part 2! We stopped by my dad's office first to ask for money hehe and to drop off my bag aaaaaaand coincidentally, an officemate of his was going to the mall so we went with him and pretended to be his daughters so we could go inside.
Once inside, we found out the movie wasn't playing anymore :( So sad. So we bought food for our tummy ummies and we went to Book Sale! While we were browsing through the art books, Chloe thought that we should go visit the National Museum!! My dad agreed and took us to the museum. And if I were to describe the National Museum, it would take like an entire post hehe. The first one we went to was the building filled with paintings and sculptures and sketches. The second one was the building nearby. Still the National Museum but this one had the artifacts and the ancient relics.
To end the day, we went back to Masci without the aid of jeepneys hehe yay we walked back to our school! We hung out in front of the huge mirror in the hallway. Chloe and I were joined by Chriztina and her sister and eventually Kobe, with whom we had a mini and I mean small, practically bordering microscopic sing-a-thon.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand that's it! With all the adventures that I've had this week, I feel like I'm a real Manila girl hahahah. I know the week isn't over yet, but tomorrow's Friday. Hooray for that!
