I have a lot of free time seeing that I have been advised to stay away from people for the meantime because I am contagious. I have finally watched High School Musical 3! I also watched High School Musical 1 earlier just because I could hehe. I am now halfway through Life in a Day which I must say is so very beautiful huhu. The world is a beautiful place *cue L.I.F.E.G.O.E.S.O.N by Noah and the Whale because this song should be played whenever the world seems bright and much like paradise*. I kinda got inspired by Life in a Day to make videos. Only kinda. I've always wanted to be a vlogger but after playing back my attempts and hearing the room be filled by a ton of 'uhhhh's and 'hehehe's, I've learned to accept that I would never be a successful vlogger....or have I? HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

Fatherhugging Zombies
Happy Father's Day to everyone! Isn't it cool that my Mother's Day post included zombies as well? Anyway, today has been an amazingly chill day. I painted a bacon themed greeting for my dad last night and left it on the dining table with his car keys and wallet because I'm sure he'd be the first one to wake up and see the painting. Wee. After waking up to the smell of pizza and cheesy goodness, we got right down to business and dug in to the Italian themed lunch that my mum prepared.
I got to bake my own pizza today and after helping my mum a bit with the cheesecake, I went outside to play with the garden hose from heaven. It's seriously the best! It has 7 options: mist, spout, jet, shower, center, cone and flat. I had fun cleaning out the garage and acting like a human sprinkler.
After getting the work done outside, I tried to finish all of my homework. Tried being the keyword, though. I only finished 2 subjects. Plus the other 2 I did last night, I still have 3 more to go. Thank God, there are no classes tomorrow! I've got Geometry, Intermediate Algebra and Biology left, 3 of the 4 major subjects. Ugh. Instead of doing them, I painted a zombie couple about to get married! I was inspired by this screencap from the movie Beetlejuice.
It hasn't been rainbows and happiness all day, though. Only one thing sort of spoiled my day:
The down button on my laptop decided to break up with the rest of the keys. What's left is a hole and circuit looking thing with a circle in the middle that I can still press to scroll down. But it feels wrong to go poking, so I'm stuck with a toothless keyboard.

A Raccoon and a Dog in a Tutu
I've always wanted a painting of a raccoon dressed up as a person from the renaissance era. When I found out how expensive it was to ask a professional to paint for you (the ones at the mall), I figured it'd be better to include my face in the painting so the 4000 pesos or more wouldn't be wasted. I dreamed of having a painting of myself dressed in those old and classic gowns from the medieval times with a pet raccoon on my shoulder. But, I've finally realized that I simply cannot and would not be capable of splurging thousands of pesos on a silly painting, that's why I'm gonna start painting raccoons and hopefully I'll be able to paint my dream portrait!
First Attempt!
I came across this funny picture of a dog in a tutu and I just had to try and paint it!

B.I.T.C.H
I had the idea of painting B.I.T.C.H (Batman, Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, Hulk) last night after watching smosh's If Superheroes Were Real. I started with Batman and realized he was a bit big so I decided to just dedicate one page per superhero. But when I got back from the mall earlier, I thought of squeezing Iron Man's face below and The Hulk above! It was seriously fun to sketch/paint Hulk's cloud-like arms. Hopefully, I can finish this before the school year starts!
Edit
I finished it today!

Ms. Granger
I was so giddy and excited for the second part of the Deathly Hallows after reading HP7 that I decided to make some sort of fan art in honor of Harry Potter. I googled the Golden Trio but couldn't find a picture that I could draw or paint and, I eventually settled on a screencap of Hermione in HP3.

I probably got the highlighting stuff wrong, but looking at it and seeing that it sorta resembles Hermione's hair and the fact that it's my first decent painting makes me so happy! Now, I'm trying to mix the colors that I ground in the perfect skin tone shade, which is proving to be more difficult than I thought. I think I added too much red because now it looks a bit like Pepto-Bismol. Too bad I haven't got any white paint left :(

Moving In
We're finally at our new house! Tonight's the second night here yay. We arrived yesterday at 7 in the morning, bleary-eyed and quite cranky. The house is still not finished though, especially my room since the carpenter that was in charge of building my bookshelf got sick because of the rain that I was talking about in my last entry.
Good news! We went grocery shopping yesterday at Shopwise and while my mum was busy with the actual grocery shopping, my sister and I went to National Bookstore. After checking for Deathly Hallows (they didn't have any), we hung out at the paint and sewing section. She went crazy because of the dyes and I because of the paints and blenders! I ended up buying 2 blenders because I didn't know which size to buy and a 2 1/2 HB pencil. Haha I'm such a geek. My sister bought some Martha Stewart-y stuff, our own copy of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and a copy of The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins! Long story short, I stayed up until 4 in the morning to finish The Hunger Games! I kept on drifting in and out of consciousness because I wasn't used to sleeping with only the electric fan as the source of cool air. I woke up at noon and spent the rest of the day reading Heart on a Chain by Cindy C. Bennett -a book from my light summer reads list. After finishing the book, I got so bored that I fell asleep until dinnertime!
All in all, it's been good here in our new house. It's not creepy and living here doesn't make me feel like I'm in a horror movie, which is obviously a good thing. I can't wait 'til they deliver my bookshelf and finally start unpacking my books! It just doesn't feel like my room without stacks of books all over the place. I know, spoken like a true nerd haha.

My day was actually pretty boring. I only painted, watched Mr. Holland's Opus -really good movie, btw- and tried a work out plan I found on tumblr.

I only got to the 70 leg lifts and my legs feel like jelly right now. I actually watched the last part of Mr. Holland's Opus while doing the 100 jumping jacks and it must've been a funny sight; me crying while jumping jacks-ing. I couldn't help it though; the movie was so touching. Yes, I used the word touching. I was sort of putting off the running part cos I wasn't in the mood to go out of the house. I only found out why my mum was pressuring me to jog this evening. It's cos today's Friday, Friday, gotta get down on Friday. We have a run on Saturday, bloody Saturday.
I am going to run on Saturday at Alabang HILLS FOR 5 KILOMETERS. I hope I don't pass out. Or die.

Sleeping All Day, Staying Up All Night
Today, or rather yesterday, was spent sleeping. Seriously! I stayed up all night last Monday that I finally went to sleep at around 5 in the morning. I woke up at 10 am because it was simply too hot. The humidity all day was really annoying, so after we had our lunch, my sister and I spent the day inside the room with the aircon on full blast. That's why, I ended up falling asleep from 2 to 5! I woke up to the shrill ringing of the telephone and after taking a shower, checking my facebook account, going to 9gag and doing some reading, I took a nap. At around 8 in the evening, my parents arrived from work, we had our dinner, mum and dad talked to me about college and while my mum was reading and my dad was watching tv, I started googling pictures of kids in weird halloween costumes when I came across a baby in a taco costume!

Seeing kids in silly halloween costumes is so fun. It's a combination of the cutest things in the world (kids) and stuff that I find interesting (costumes), it's just so darn perfect! Here are some of the best costumes I've seen.
Good night! ♥

Maundy Thursday
Since I'm too busy sitting on my journal to let the papers that I glued on to stick firmly, I'll just write a short summary of what went on yesterday:
1) We had our annual Visita Iglesia. We went to 7 churches and when we got to the 6th one, we managed to photobomb a group of people taking pictures outside the church, in front of the doors with the stained-glass artwork.
2) Ate lunch at Chow King because I thought they had a special Lent menu but I was wrong hahah.
3) Went to the new house and dear Lord, it was starting to look like the architect's designs! We spent at least 2 hours there, checking things out while my mum and sister pulled out their HPs and read.
4) We stopped by the marble selling place in Sucat (I think). Killed time while drawing, sitting in the car, watching my sister read, and kicking ass (and also getting my butt kicked) in Tilt To Live.
5) Checked if there was a copy of HP6 at National Bookstore near Shopwise. They didn't have any :( and after checking if the Puregold branch had it on stock (nada), we decided to order one! My mum went grocery shopping, my dad went to the appliance section while my sister and I browsed through the books.
6) Bought a new toothbrush at Shopwise!!! ♥♥♥
7) We got home around 7:30 and there were boxes everywhere. Our maid told our mum that she found this unused skeleton costume upstairs and I got so giddy when I saw it that I. Tried. It. On. It was tight as hell!

Happy Birthday Mum!
It's my mum's birthday today!
My sister and I went to the mall to kill time while waiting for the dinner with our relatives. We went to the newly opened Forever 21 branch in Makati! Unfortunately, every Powerbooks and National Bookstore in Glorietta and Greenbelt didn't have any Harry Potter 6 on stock :( So, by the time we were at National Bookstore in Glorietta 5 (Our second to the last book store stop for the day), I was losing hope and I was right, they didn't have any. I ended up choosing between buying the fourth installment of the Mortal Instruments series which is City of Fallen Angels by Cassandra Clare, the newly published Across the Universe by Beth Revis, or the last book in the The Giver trilogy, Messenger by Lois Lowry.
I ended up buying City of Fallen Angels! Yay. I'm on page 63 right now and I'm absolutely loving it.
